Ipswich Jets Rugby League Club
The district has generated many of Australia's leading players with seven (7) local players picked in the Queensland Team of the Century. In recent years, we have seen the likes of Kevin and Kerrod Walters, and Allan Langer come through our ranks. In recent years, our club has been coached by some of the greats of Rugby League including Tommy Raudonikus, Trevor Gillmeister, Kevin Walters, Darren Smith and Glenn Lazarus. Ben Walker and Shane Walker (ex Bronco who was coached by the legendary Wayne Bennett) and are again coaching the INTRUST CUP Squad in 2015. The club is professional in all it does.
Defence Reserves Support Council
The Defence Reserves Support Council promotes the benefits of Reserve Service and encourages employers and the community to support Reservists.
Smiling for Smiddy
Held in memory of Adam Smiddy, who passed away to an aggressive cancer aged 26, Smiling for Smiddy delivers inspired challenge events which engage individuals and communities to raise funds for cancer research, the Smiddy way. Each year hundreds of cyclists and triathletes use a passion for their sport to fight this devastating disease. More than $6 million has been raised since 2006. Smiling for Smiddy supports cancer research that has national and international impact. Funds enable the dedicated team of researchers at Mater Research to undertake potentially life-saving research into the causes, prevention and improved treatments of cancer.
Townsville to Cairns Bike Ride
The Townsville to Cairns Bike Ride is a charity organisation that raises money for the Children's Cancer Institute of Australia (CCIA) by holding a 3 day bike ride from Townsville to Cairns.
Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run
The Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run: Bridge to Brisbane is an annual long-distance fun run over a distance of 10-kilometre or 5-kilometre held in Brisbane, Australia in September, raising money for charity.
Ipswich Cycling Club
Ipswich Cycling Club is a small club with members that enjoy cycling. We have Junior and Senior riders. We also have members that love to compete as well as members that just love to ride. All new members are welcome.
Gold Coast Cycling Club
Established in June 2017, the Gold Coast Cycling Club Inc. is a new club formed through the amalgamation of the Gold Coast Goldstars Cycling Club and the Gold Coast Cycling Club (formerly known as the CATS). Each of the founding clubs bring with them a rich history in the development of the Gold Coast cycling community and cycling as a sport.
Our club serves to foster the sport of cycling, both road and track disciplines
The Gold Coast Cycling Club is the Coast's premier cycling club. Awarded Cycling Australia and Cycling Queensland's Club of the Year in 2017, 2012 and finalist for this award in 2013.
Para-Cycling
DTS sponsored Ben MacFie and Kelvin Dawson where the pair won the Mens Tandem Sprint at the 2012 Australian Para-cycling Championships. The pair also placed second in the 1000m time trial.
